Valley Baptist Church Family—Important Children’s Check-In Announcement
Dear Valley Baptist Church Friends and Families,
In our ongoing commitment to provide a safe, welcoming environment for every child in our care, we are implementing a new Children’s Check-In System beginning Sunday, June 29. This system applies to all children from Pre-K (age 3) through 6th grade, and is designed to make drop-off and pick-up efficient, secure, and stress-free for parents, volunteers, and most importantly, our young ones.
⸻
Why We’re Doing This
We love having your children here, and nothing matters more to us than their safety. By formalizing check-in, we can:
• Account accurately for every child on campus at all times
• Streamline communication during service—should an emergency arise, we’ll know exactly where to find your child and how to contact you
• Prevent unauthorized pickups and ensure only you (or another authorized caregiver) can collect your child
⸻
What to Expect on June 29 and Beyond
1. Arrival & Greeting
• Please plan to arrive 5–10 minutes before the start of your service.
• Our friendly Children’s Ministry volunteers will welcome you at one of three convenient self-service kiosks:
• Planet56
• Nursery
• HisKids
2. Check-In Process
• At the kiosk, enter your family name
• The system will print two matching badge tickets with your child’s name and room number.
3. Badge Distribution
• First Badge: Attach this to your child’s clothing—this helps our volunteers ensure each child is in the correct classroom.
• Second Badge: Keep this with you; parent/guardian with the matching badge must pick up the child.
⸻
Pickup Procedures:
• Standard Pickup:
• At the conclusion of service, proceed to the classroom wing and present Badge B to the volunteer at the door.
• Your child will be released only to you or another parent/guardian with the matching badge.
———
We’re grateful for your cooperation as we roll out this enhanced safety measure. Our goal is to make every Sunday morning smooth, secure, and joyous—for parents, volunteers, and especially our children. If you have any questions before June 29, feel free to call or text Ruthie Fox at 501-269-0065.
Thank you for entrusting us with your most precious gifts. We look forward to seeing your family this Sunday—and every Sunday—as we grow together in faith and fellowship.
With gratitude and care,
Valley Baptist Church
